Tomsk, Asia’s oldest university city, invites university students to take part in the International student forum “UNI4CITY” that takes place in the frameworks of II Forum of university cities “Energy of universities for municipal and regional development” on November 30 through December 2, 2017.

The student forum is organized by the Department of Science and Higher Education, Administration of the Tomsk Region.

The program of the International student forum includes the Open international contest of students’ projects “City and university”, a Foresight-session on the identification of prospects and development priorities for university cities, and a quest for the youth on historical university-related locations of Tomsk.

Each participant will contribute to the development of innovative models, action plans and integrated projects on the development of student cities.

Working languages: English, Russian.

Within the framework of the event, the final of the competition of student projects “City and University” will be held.

Purpose of the contest is to engage young people in the solving of current problems in the development of university cities.

Sections of the contest:

– The power of my university to develop the city: how can a university and the city be of use for one another? How are the economies of the university and the city interrelated?

– Choosing a university, choosing a city: what is primary when selecting a place of study, the university or the city? How to boost the appeal of a university city?

– Making my campus better: what can and should be changed? How to create more comfortable conditions for students and faculty members?

Submit your projects by October 15, 2017 in the form of a digital presentation/essay, supplemented with photos, audio, and video that reveal the life of a student city with all its benefits and drawbacks.
