Ruben Zondervan, Executive Director of the Earth System Governance Project, International Project Office of the Lund University will participate in the 2nd International University Cities Forum.

Ruben Zondervan is an expert in the management of scientific research and scientific policy. His expertise is in the field of scientific communication, strategic planning, project management, policy advice, public affairs, fundraising, etc.

Currently, Ruben Zondervan also serves as member of the Scientific Steering Committee for the International Environmental Governance Architecture Research Group; external expert to the EU TEMPUS Project on Environmental Governance for Environmental Curricula.

Earth System Governance – a global research alliance, is the largest social science research network in the area of governance and global environmental change. The Earth System Governance research alliance takes up the challenge of exploring political solutions and novel, more effective governance mechanisms to cope with the current transitions in the biogeochemical systems of the planet. Nowadays, about 300 scientists are constantly involved in the project, and more than 2,000 scientists from all over the world are involved at various stages.
